Stewardship Luncheon and Fair

All are invited to attend next Sunday, October 29 immediately following worship.

A catered lunch will be served in Lacy Hall.  Members of our congregation will be calling with a personal invitation to come and help get our Stewardship campaign off to an energetic start.

We are looking forward to a great year and successful campaign as First Presbyterian Church continues to expand her ministry and mission.  "Growing Together in Christ" is our theme this year.

Fall Choral Music Festival

FPC Sanctuary

The FPC Adult Chancel Choir invites you to attend a Fall Choral Festival Worship Service on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. in the FPC sanctuary. The Choral Festival will feature Dr. Daniel Bara as guest conductor. Bara is the director of choral activities and instructor of conducting and choral literature at East Carolina University in Greenville. A recent recipient of the Robert L. Jones Award for outstanding teaching, he heads ECU’s program of four university choral ensembles, administers the master of music degree in choral conducting, and is the founder of the East Carolina University Summer Choral Conducting Institute. He holds degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (BM Organ, MM Organ, MM Choral Conducting) and from the Eastman School of Music (DMA Choral Conducting).

 

The Festival Choir will rehearse throughout the day, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., and will culminate in a service at 4:00 p.m. We hope that you will b able to make plans to attend the festival service this Saturday, October 14, at 4:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. The Music Ministry and Adult Chancel Choir appreciates your support.

 

Currently, the Festival Choir is comprised of 50 members representing numerous churches and organizations from around the Rocky Mount community.
