Among the mature we do speak wisdom, though it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age…

~1 Corinthians 2.6

A variety of learning opportunities are available on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m.

P.E.P. Class - Presbyterians Educating Presbyterians

This class utilizes a variety of curriculums. Currently, they are using The Wired Word and they are located upstairs in classroom 207.

The Present Word Bible Class

This class studies individual books of the Bible in a disciplined but accessible manner.  This class uses the Presbyterian Church (USA)’s “Present Word” curriculum as a basis for study and discussion and is located upstairs in classroom 205.

Brown Bag Bible Study

Each Monday at noon (except on days when “Lunch Bunch” is gathering), join our pastor for an informal time of Bible reading and conversation. Some of us will bring a bag lunch to the session room, others will choose to eat before or after. Our one and only goal will be to open the Bible and read it together as a community of faith. The pastors will not lead a formal study, but will be present as conversation facilitators and participants. All you need to participate is an openness to the Holy Spirit as God speaks to us through the lens of scripture.

Inquirer’s Class

This class meets as needed during the church year to familiarize prospective members with Presbyterian faith, governance and tradition.  This class is also a good introduction to the opportunities for ministry and mission that are available here at First Presbyterian Church.  If you are interested in attending one of these classes, please send an email to our church office by clicking here.

Wednesday Night Studies

The Wednesday night study for adults follows various curriculums.  Join us at 6:45 in the session room for the program or at 6:00 for a potluck supper!
