How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!

~Psalm 133: 1

Youth Ministry at First Presbyterian is geared toward nurturing tweens and teens in the faith of Jesus Christ. There are a variety of opportunities throughout the month to engage faith and enjoy fellowship.

Sunday School

Middle School Youth and High School Youth meet each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the Youth Suite with their respective teachers for breakfast and Sunday School during the Sunday School year.

Middle School Youth Group

From September – May, the Middle School Group meets most Sunday afternoons from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the church.  Activities and lessons vary, but all are geared toward growing as disciples of Jesus and growing together as a community of faith.  On the Sundays when the Middle School Youth meet at the church, a meal is served for them at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Senior High Youth Group

The Senior High Group typically meet on Sunday evenings and has a rotating schedule of monthly activities and gatherings from September through May. We seek to engage youth in a variety of activities during a typical month:  fellowship in a home, traditional youth group meeting at the church Sundays at 6:00, a meal out following worship, and a service project.  On the nights they meet at the church, a meal is served for them along with the Middle School youth at 5:30 p.m in the Fellowship Hall.  The youth also occasionally meet early for breakfast (prior to school) for a short devotional and fellowship.  A detailed monthly schedule is published in the church newsletter and the youth and their parents also receive weekly emails with schedule details.

Another highlight of Senior High Youth is their annual trip to the Montreat Youth Conference in July each summer.  It is open to rising 9th graders through graduating seniors and is full of special memories and new friendships.
